Mundane astrology gives understanding about countries, events, etc. Locational astrology helps a client understand what kind of themes to expect at different locations in the world. Predictive astrology techniques (transits, progressions, solar return, etc.) use patterns of the cosmos and runs them forward to get a good read on energetic themes coming up. The astrologer applies knowledge of astrological techniques to give the client better understanding of the trends of the client's life.
